ADMISSION POLICY

MGM School is open to all children regardless of race, creed, etdnic or cultural background whose parents live or work in the area. The Criteria for admission of these children will be in accordance with the guidelines given. The whole process will be fair and rational, non-discriminatory, transparent and child-friendly. The admission process has been carefully designed to provide equal opportunity to all and to maintain transparency in the admission process. Admission will be based on the information given and will have to be backed by authentic proofs with documents attached to the form when submitted. Information regarding parents' professions and educational qualifications will not form a part of the admission criteria. It will be used only for school data processing.

  • Application Process
  • Forms for new admissions at entry level will be available at the school on prescribed dates on payment of prescribed fee. Admissions to other classes are based on vacancies.

    1. Information regarding admissions will be advertised in leading newspaper and also displayed in the school notice board
    2. Admission forms can be obtained from the administrative office of the school between the stipulated dates specified.
    3. Duly filled application forms shall be submitted to the administrative office of the school before the due date.
    4. All forms for admission to the nursery class that have been submitted within the timeline will be considered for admission and the final list will be displayed on the schools notice board on a pre-appointed day which will be communicated to the parents
    5. All documents required with the form shall be attached.
    6. All the formalities including payment of fees have to be done within the stipulated time to secure admission.
  • Age criteria for admissions to various classes are given here as under and any request for relaxation in age, will not be entertained.


  • Class Age
    Nursery 2 ½ years complete
    Junior KG 3 ½ years complete
    Senior KG 4 ½ years complete
    Class 1 5 ½ years complete
    Class 2 and above Based on promotion from previous class

 

  • List of Supporting Documents (attested copies) to be produced by the Parents at the time of submission of the filled in Registration Form.
    • Self-attested photocopy of Birtd certificate of the Child issued by Municipal Corporation/competent autdority.
    • Self-attested photocopy of Proof of Residence (Latest electricity bill / Ration card / Landline telephone bill / passport)
    • In case of sibling, a copy of latest fee receipt issued by the school for previous academic year.
    • Latest Annual Income Certificate of the earning parent/s. 

Final admission is subject to verification of the above documents to be produced in original. Photocopies shall not be accepted at the time of admission. If the information provided is found to be incorrect or false the candidate shall be automatically debarred from selection process without any correspondence in this regard.

 

  • The admission to class NURSERY will be granted fullowing the criteria as decided by the Management.

Vacancy

Vacancy shall be declared by the school as decided by the management.


Girl Child Cap

Gender Parity and equal opportunity for the Girl child is a part of MGM philosophy. Being a co-educational institute, the school tries to ensure that the student population has an equal balance between the sexes. Thus the girl child cap is set at 50%.


In case of Twins

In case of Twins, both the twins will be put in a single ‘Chit’ for consideration. Either both will be selected together or both will not be selected.

 

The application process begins with the submission of the Admission Form, the Registration Fee, and all the necessary supporting documents. Candidates entering MGM are not formally assessed prior to admission and shall be placed on a first come, first served and enrulled according to the order. If there are more student applications than spaces available in (1) General category and (2) Sibling category, children will be admitted tdrough Random Selection (Draw of lots) in each said category separately. There will be a separate draw of lots for the Girl child for gender parity. The whole process will be fair and transparent with names of selected candidates placed on public domain.


Schedule of Admission Process
  • Schedule of admission process shall be declared by the school as decided by the management.
  • The admission to classes other than NURSERY will be granted fullowing the criteria as decided by the Management.
  • Admissions to other classes are based on vacancies. The vacancies can be ascertained after declaration of result for the previous academic session and/or seats arising on any student taking transfer from the school. The school management reserves the right to decide, declare and enrul the candidates based on the seats. Preference and weightage will be given to candidates from society members. In classes 10 & 12 admissions are not granted as a matter of pulicy. The eligibility criteria in respect to marks shall be in accordance with the prevailing rules and regulations according to CBSE guidelines. 


Class 1 – 8:

Candidates are not formally assessed prior to admission and shall be placed on a first come, first served waitlist and will be admitted against vacancies according to the waitlist order. Class 9:

Only students with minimum CGPA 8 or 80% aggregate score in Class 8 will be registered and are required to take the entrance examination. The shortlisted candidates will be interviewed and the final list of selected students will be declared thereafter. 


Class 11:

The admissions to Class 11 will be based on interview and only students with the fullowing grade/percentage will be registered for admission to class 11. Students of class 10 passing out from MGM will be given preference and weightage as per the school norms.

GENERAL GUIDELINES


MID TERM ADMISSIONS

Admissions to any class in between the session shall be on the best judgement by the management. If there is no vacancy for admissions, the cases has to be disposed-off with adequate and suitable regret confirmation to the applicant. Any unavoidable case has to be addressed in consultation with the Principal. Preference shall be given to transfer cases. 


APPROVAL OF FINAL LIST OF STUDENTS

Any list or declaration regarding admissions shall be communicated to public or placed in public domain only after the final approval by the managing committee.



Note:

  • Students whose name(s) figure in the final List and who do not take admission on prescribed date(s) shall be considered to have no interest for admission in MGM.
  • All documents needs to be dully completed, signed and filled in block letters, before submission. Any incomplete document can lead to the delay of Admission procedure and increase the risk of not gaining a seat.
  • All the photocopies shall be self-attested by the parent(s)
  • Registration does not guarantee admission
  • The school reserves the right to verify the residential address through home visits.
  • Recommendations of any sort may cause for disqualification of the candidate.
